First time using pool. I have placed a backorder on a domain that is to delete today...what time do domains drop? Is it a set time or could be a wide window of time. The domain is said to be deleting on a number of different lists for today...just want to know when to expect it. Thanks!

.org's currently drop much later or out of schedule; I've seen some drop past 5pm Eastern.

Who wants to know? Right now, the drop catching specialists have got it perfected to an art, they will beat you in nanoseconds. If it is a good name that mayhaps, more than 1 person in this world wants, then it is best you go with Pool, Snapnames, Namewinner, Enom or the rest of the specialists you can ferret out.

Just remember one thing in specialist drop catching, this game is dirty for the small so-called drop catchers. They don't care about ethics, and they will catch names you flag out to them, through another channel so as to avoid accusations, use that information to their advantage, then tell you "sorry, we apologise". This double-play happens a lot with systems that catch .co.uk names and the like, since nobody knows what is name is being deleted with these namespaces until flagged out, or with corrupt registry employies who sell these list for the bribe of a beer or woman.

As a rule of thumb, use only the reputable drop catchers.
