Just an update on news in the .au namespace. Few things going on in Australia at the moment.
1) The general market is showing very strong growth. Total .au registrations have reached 1.5m (up from 1m 2 years ago). New registrations are 46% up on this time last year.

2) auDA are holding their AGM this w/e with new directors to be elected. http://www.auda.org.au/agm/agm2009-notice There are several domainer-friendly candidates (including a prominent DNF-er) standing so will be interesting to see how it goes.
3) DBS (Fabulous) have just bought Domain8 which is a .au drop catching service just 5 months old. Details aren't too clear but the total deal could be worth $1.5m http://www.ecommercereport.com.au/?p=323
that's all from Australia for the moment...
