So Yahoo sold off a bunch of generic names from their portfolio just a couple of months ago, which included AV.com (used to be the Alta Vista search engine, now a part of Yahoo). AV.com ended up on Sedo, and their broker said their highest offer just before Christmas was 350K. A couple of weeks later it's registered at MarkMonitor and obviously owned by Yahoo again. What the heck happened there?
