Avatar help please

OK I've found an avatar. The program says 64 x 64 pixels max and no more than 20,000 bytes. I've resized my avatar to way below the byte limit and below the 64x64. Still keeps saying "too big" what am I missing here? Dimensions?

Also, is the add glow working?

The "Add Glow" feature does work. Look at my name--it's yellow. When you go to purchase it--be careful. What you choose is what you get--and you can't change the color without paying again for a new one. You will get a preview screen to see how the color you chose looks with the text--before you hit accept.
