I keep getting banned from a non-domainer forum who uses vBulletin. The site admins hate me, though I'm not doing anything shady or anything like that, they just don't like me and don't want me on the site. However I make a lot of money from the site so I need to be able to keep posting there. I also have a lot of friends there that I'd like to be able to stay in touch with via PM.

The latest time they caught me I was using a proxy (myspaceunblocker.com - premium edition) so they could not have known my IP address, I think, which is how they were banning my previous accounts. Is it possible through vBulletin for them to know my computers mac address and so they know which physical computer I am using?

Anyway I'm looking for tips on how to avoid detection next time and not get banned and not have them figure out it is me. I'm willing to pay money for services if I need to, and even to use a different computer that I've never used on their site before. I am however not very technically savvy so if you can break things down in laymans terms I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

"not doing anything shady"... yet keep getting banned and using proixies and using multiple accounts.

Your credibility went to zero with just one post.

The reasons for the bans are personal though. I'm not breaking any forum rules or doing anything shady to get banned - they just dont like me.

Sorry if you don't understand or agree.

It actually does. It is quite common for them to permaban people and look the other way when they come back with a new account - so long as they don't continue the same behavior. The first time they banned me was in 2006. I made a new account and it was widely known it was me until I had a spat with the site owner in 2007, at which point my new account was banned. I then had yet another account until this year that was known by a number of the mods (but not the site owners and admins) to be me, and nothing was done. Then one of the admins found out it was me and they banned me again. Now they appear very determined to keep me off the site and have been banning me after 50 posts or so over and over again the last couple of months. Again, none of this was for breaking any site rules of any kind.

If you want the nitty gritty details I was in negotiations to buy it in 2007. The deal fell through and I threatened to sue the owner - he now hates me and demands that I not be allowed to post on the site - even though I have a huge following on the site. There are 10,000+ post threads I started in 2006 which are still going on the site to this day.

None of this matters of course, what matters is that I make xx,xxx per month from the site and need access to it to continue earning a living (so I can keep buying ya'lls domains). So if anybody can help me figure this out, I'd appreciate it.
