3,600 exact global monthly searches, peaks obviously around Christmas
2,900 exact local monthly searches
$0.40 Avg CPC
Can make this into a traffic site. Have links to other sites that sell award winning toys as well as sell ad space to those same businesses.

Sorry, but I would concur. Even as .com it would be a tough sell, but....

As always, I appreciate the feedback. However, I must disagree and make a case for this domain name. It definitely isn't a "zero" as Dog so eloquently put it. This site brings $3-$7 per day and has decent traffic, especially around the holiday season. The CPC is a bit lower than I'd like at about .40 cents but the traffic more than makes up for it. Hopefully that helps you to re-evaluate on the value of this domain.

Well, you turned it into a business, so it ceases to be a domain name at that point. When you have a business you put time and effort into it, as well. Are you factoring how much that time and effort is worth when you calculate the site's profitability?

You could have achieved the same results, if not better, with any other domain name. This name as a stand alone name is worth zero, and always will be worth zero. Now that you have made it into a site/business that is doing well doesn't really change the fact that the name itself is a real clunker.

Congrats on making some money with the site, though. You seem to have some talent in that area, and I think if you had better names you would even have more success.

Didn't know it was actively making money and had some traffic. As a domain, I still don't like it....but if it makes money then you have to look at it as a whole. Averaging $5 per day, assuming it takes little to no maintenance, I would value it at $900-$1,800 if it was mine (6-12 months of revenue)......a lot of this would depend on how stable this traffic and income is. The more risky it is to change on you, the fewer months I would use as a base....the more stable, more. Like I say, this is what I would figure to myself if it was mine....not saying anyone would ever offer that or wouldn't even off far more, but figuring to myself this would be -my- base for the value to me.

I wasn't aware that there was only ONE way to value a domain. I understand that the more generic and single word the domain name, the greater the value.. that is a no brainer. However, I surely hope you realize that keyword phrase domain names have value as well. They do generate traffic. AwardWinningtoys.net does bring 2900 exact local searches. This translates to traffic to the site. In addition, if you google Award Winning Toys, you will see 1,900,000 results with many sponsored ads vying for that very exact phrase. With one word, generic domains pretty much being unattainable these days, a domainer has to adapt to new concepts. IMO, keyword phrase domain names are going to be and is already a valuable method.

This of course is all my opinion and you know what they say about opinions...
