They have to. They don't want people to wonder if that's a phishing site.

These are just teething problems IMHO - Early days yet, over time every customer will be aware this service and BOOM - this will be the Norm !

I'm sorry to say that but you're clearly blinded by your .mobi love..

The issue of phishing or trust has nothing to do with .mobi or .com... Citibank has launched their mobile banking tool which uses .com on back end but requires a client download (got it working on my Blackberry 8800)

especially when all the links direct to: bankofamerica.com/mobile/

LMAO

doesnt matter where the link sends you. all that they need to advertise is bofa.mobi and thats all people need to remember. I am a bank of america customer and every single time I log into my account online from my computer to check my balance, a big pop up screen appears and asks if you wanna sign up for mobile banking on their bofa.mobi site. Bank of America is one of the largest banks in the world and they are only promoting .mobi for all their mobile banking needs. Have you tried accessing the site from your cellphone? There are tons of .com sites that redirect you to other places also but people just remember whatever.com.
