I don't know if this is the right section for it. Mods, you can move it to whichever section you feel is appropriate.

Just had a question for you guys.
Which bank in the US gives you online wire transfers?
Most of the banks I checked allow you to send electronic checks, not wire transfers. The only funds you can transfer are between your own accounts..

I'm sure many of you make lots of wires frequently, so you might have some experience.

Any suggestions?

HSBC Bank USA allows business account holders to execute wire transfers online after logging in with a fob. Very convenient and a nominal fee, around $20 or so.

~ 1/3 of local community banks in U.S. offering special Web services (including wire) for their small-business customers in 2007. For example: Sovereign Bank (US Northeast), River City Bank (Sacramento), ABC (Texas and Oklahoma)...

thanks guys. I'll try HSBC. Citi doesn't have a branch in Buffalo, and I like to have a brick and mortar building for my bank.
My current bank will allow me to make wires only when I go in person to the bank and request one. Thats a huge pain..

lol.

Yea, last time I went to my bank it took 90 minutes. I need a bank where I can do this from home too. Everytime I do one at my bank they question me as to what I am doing. Sashas maybe I need to borrow the rocket launcher next time for them to do it quicker w/o any questions lol.

Tell me about it man...They made me fill out a form because according to new government policies, anybody making more than 3 wires in 3 months has to fill out a form to confirm if he's not a terrorist. Sorta dumb...if I was a terrorist, will I fill out a form saying that I was one?

I'll check out HSBC tomorrow and see what they have to offer...

Wells Fargo has it online as well although many reps don't know about it.
Also, Wachovia offers phone-initiated wires.
