But as I understand it, neither terms will be ubiquitous like DVD, correct? They are improvements over present DVD technology. Isn't it likely that DVD-like storage discs will continue to be referred to as DVD's, no matter which of the two improvements take hold?
Don't get me wrong, I'd love for AOD to be the new catch phrase for storage discs... I've got a couple of nice AOD domains lined up myself
