Be Aware: Godaddy is the biggest cheater in domain&webhosting industry!

Just as I have posted before about a transaction from my paypal.com that godaddy used my paypal on file (prepay paypal option) and charged me 387.50$ for something which I have no idea at all.

Then I have tried to call them, tried to e-mail them.
Then I get someone answer me about the transaction.
first he told me that was the charging on the bandwidth of my webhosting plan, As the supporter said:
Dear XXXX,
Thank you for contacting online support. I apologize for any confusion. The charge is indeed for disk space overage. The charge for bandwidth burst charges is $1.99 per GB. It seems that you have several rather large .mdb files in your FTP. This is most likely causing the issue. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns by email or via phone at XXXXX

Sincerely,
Kyle V.
Online Support Technician

then I replied again as :

hi,
if it is $1.99 per GB. I have 5.7GB
that does not cost more than 387$, dude!
You got to calculate that.
even if it is 1.99 per GB for 57GB, that is still about less than $120.
but I was charged for over $380,
Please verify this, it must be refund.
Otherwise that will be considering as stealling my money from my paypal
prepay option.
by the way, please close all of my billing options, delete my Credit card
record, and paypal option as well.
I do not to be charged by another morning.
That is absolutely bad to Godaddy.com' image!
it will destroy Godaddy.com' image for sure!
waiting for your reply and solution to this issue ASAP!
thank you,

XXXX

After about 30 mins, he answered me again:

Dear XXXXX,
Thank you for contacting Online Support. I apologize for any confusion. The current cost of bandwidth overages for a shared hosting account is $6.79 per 100 MB.
You can use the instructions below to cancel all products or services for this account, remove all payment methods from this account, and turn off all opt-in email notifications. Company policy restricts Go Daddy Customer Support representatives from making changes to customer accounts or services on behalf of the customer. You will need to make this change from within your account.
To cancel all products and services, follow the directions below:
First, log into your customer account:
. Go to the Go Daddy Account Login Page
. Log in using your account username (which may be the same as your customer number) and password
If you have trouble logging in, our password reset form may help you. You can find this form through the following link:
Account Retrieval Page
Once logged in, follow the steps below to cancel:
. Select 'Payments and Renewing Items' from the 'Customer Info & More' menu.
. Check the box next to the item(s) you would like to cancel and click on the 'Cancel Item' button.
. Select 'Cancel Now' or 'Cancel at Expiration Date' in the menu that appears to the right.
. Click on 'Save Changes'.
*Canceling now will immediately remove the service from your account. If you choose to "Cancel at Expiration Date" the service will remain active until the date specified and will not be renewed.
Please use the below instructions to remove a payment method from our system. Note that there must be no products or services in our system which are currently linked to that payment method before you can remove it.
. Select 'Credit Card & Payment Info' from the 'Customer Info & More' menu
. Select the radio button next to the desired payment method in the list.
. Click the 'Deactivate Payment Method' button.
. If there are any products or services currently associated with this item you will then be forced to move them to another payment method before you can continue.
. After moving any products or services to another payment method, click the 'Save Changes' button.
You can choose not to receive email notices by updating your customer account settings. Follow the directions below:
. Select "Account Settings" from the "Customer Info & More" menu.
. Click on the "Email Preference Information" link.
. Go through the choices and select your preference for each.
. When you are done, click on the green "Save Changes" button.
You can also use the "UNSUBSCRIBE" link found at the bottom of all the notices that we send out.
Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.
Sincerely,
Nathan P.

I guess that's how some people choose to view it.

I'm wondering if playpics is giving the complete picture. More specifics please.

I will copy and paste all of the thing from its support to here or other forums later on.

I also wish someone would help me with this issue!

As the result and answer from its employees, they are just too arrogant.

maybe Godaddy boss should have a look on and check out what his workers do to his client/s.

thank you, and I want this issue to be solved with godaddy peacefully.

I just can not accept the answer from godaddy support

That is the problem. There is NO support. You probably know more about their company and policies than their very own "support" personnel.

Use this information The second is his personal cell phone number. It is on my caller ID. Hurry up and use it as he will probably change the number when he finds out this is posted.

When you get done, go to www.NoDaddy.com and make a post there. Seriously, use that site and make everyone aware of the endless BS GoDaddy customers (actually, soon to be former customers) have to put up with to stroke this man's ego.

And no matter how many times you ask me, NO Acro, I am not touching that earring.

Did you notice Bob in the commercial? He had his eyes on a hell of alot more important stuff other than his company and our accounts.

It's funny how differently people are treated at the same place.

First the #1 rule that everyone should follow is NEVER Register a
domain and use the Registrar for the hosting.
That one thing has been the fodder for more threads than any other
single topic..

I've used GD for years and never had any probs, their support and
NetSols are the 2 best in the Bizz when it comes to 24/7 and getting
to them either by phone with never a wait using email'
Everyone has their favorites and I can understand that.
But 12 years in Adult and 4 in Domain Trading I'd rate the top
3 Registrars on the net as GoDaddy, NetSol and Moniker.
The 2 worse ones are a tossup between RegistryFly and 1and1.
1and1 will stick it to ya, RegFly has a support staff that has to
look at a manual to turn the puter on.
However if you're in the Bizzz of domain trading you should learn and
know more about taking care of a problum than the support there.

As far as hosting goes read what you sign up for..
I'll host ya for $25.00 a month with 50 gigs of BW and no charge
for going over unless it happened all the time and then we'd just
upgrade your plan on a box with --
Duel Xeon 2.4GHz
Primary HDD 200GB Hard Drive (RAID1)
Secondary HDD 200GB Hard Drive (RAID1)
Drive Controler IDE Raid 1
2048 MB RAM (2 Gigs)
Uplink Port Speed 100mbps
Web Analytics Urchin 100 profiles
cPanel

What I'm trying to say is there is NO 1 registrar that everyone will
be happy with and I doubt anyone can find 1 that doesn't have a
few bad threads about it.
GD has more than 2 times the domains reg'd than #2 Netsol.
That alone will find more posts about them either good or bad..
Good Luck!

I'm going to get ahold of someone there tomorrow and send him
shots of your posts and see what is actually going on.
I'm not going to send the thread url as I don't need them thinking I'm
posting good to get on their good side.
I have an exec account and a direct # for my Account handler..
I'll PM you if I find out anything..
