Be aware of crank and fraudulant bids.

I got an unsolicited offer to buy one of my domains on Sedo for what I knew to be a potential crank offer, firstly by the amount offered and secondly by the lack of communication afterwards. I followed it through with the final result being that the purchaser was a fraud.

The transaction history and the follow up email are directly from Sedo.

Transaction History:

2004-02-12 Agreement reached
2004-02-25 We unfortunately had to cancel this sale dueto the fact that the transaction documents that we requested were not sent.
2004-02-25 We have invoiced the buyer for the sale of your domain. As soon as the payment reaches our escrow account we will inform you and begin the technical transfer.
2004-02-25 We unfortunately had to cancel this sale due to the fact that the buyer, despite several requests, refused to send in payment for this domain.

Here is the contact data for the buyer and a copy of his online contract:

Firm: MORENOS DEMOLITION
Name: EDWIN LUNA
Address: 12132 ALVARO ST
LOS ANGELES, CA 90059
USA
Telephone: 323-459-3830
Fax: ----
Email: [email protected]

I sent him a follow-up letter and guess what.... no reply.
