Sure "dot com" is a nasty rule.Best things in life need not .COMe
with the <com>.Engineering.org was sold for over 150k.A domain name needs to be memorable to some extent and easy to type IMO regardless of the extension.Bed.org is one of the best domain I ever saw was offered on sale.
