Been away a while... is this still an "industry"? Are Domains even selling any more?

Hey all...

I've been gone a while and getting back to civilization I opened up my hosting account(s) and realized I still have many domains from years gone back. Just curious, is the "industry" dead? Don't see much action or hear much talk around with the little bit of looking around I've done since getting home.

What's the skinny?

If anything getting slightly better overall from 2008, some niches still slightly lacking but no complaints, just more competition.

It most certainly is not dead, though I agree it seems to have evolved.

Definitely less horse trading in the public square. A lot more happens behind the scenes.

Of course, to experience that, it helps to have some domains that others see value in... more so than in the past.

There are no fish biting in the reseller market, if that's what you're asking.

Lots of action on the end user front though, so sort of evens out.

Welcome back btw!
