I too had the same Question...

Aside from Gandi.net - does anyone know of any North American based Registrars whom sell .FR?

Does anyone have any experience in this extension?

I have a 1-word premium French name that I want to rego under .FR

As well, does anyone recommend any other extension which could be beneficial in trying to corner the French market?

Here's a link to find .fr registrars in accordance with your geographical area.

Tucows is a .fr registrar for example.

Merci beaucoup tomsa!

I'm glad to see the Word is Not on the unavailable list :)

Right now, 1 word is widely being used to express diametrically opposite ideas :-S, but the 'L'Office québécois de la langue française' has recently, yet reluctantly, sanctioned a word to cover the difference between the 2 ideas.

So now I'm speculating (as seen through some quantitative research and results) it will be plus en plus utilisé. Donc, I'm hoping I'm ahead of the curve and will have a sweet brand for the long-term future.
