I've been reading some of the .mobi posts and, believe me, I'm not looking to start a flame war, but I really want some hard information on the TLD.
First, how is a .mobi site different, or supposed to be different, from a .com or other .TLD? I read somewhere that any names bought in .mobi should be quite short, as their use will appeal particularly to people used to texting. Is this so? The TLD itself is longer than .com, .net, .org and most others. Would it not have been better to have a .mo TLD? Or perhaps there is already one for somewhere in the world.
Anyway, I'd be interested to hear views on the validity of looking for the shortest .mobi names possible. Is there sense in this, or really no point at all?
