Best way to bargain when buying domain?

Hey there,

I just wanted to see everyone's strategy on buying a domain when the seller has already told you their price. The more detailed, the better.

I think the price this guy wants is reasonable, but still want to milk him for the most discount possible ($800 asking price, I want it at $500-$600).
