Better reconsider using GENERIC Landings!

Recently the registrant of the generic 3 letter acronym, <wes.com>, lost the domain to the complainant in a UDRP, because his DomainSponsor.com landing pages included categories and/or links that were confusingly similar to complainant's registered trademark. See the decision below:

Correct. A multi-subject lander is bound to include at least one relevant link if there is a TM sense of the term.

I read the whole thing and it seems pretty bogus to me.

Wont go into everything, but the panelist claims the respondent called his site "World Education Services." The panelist contradicts himself because he writes earlier, "he registered the domain name in dispute thinking of ‘Wireless Education Services’ for the purpose of providing the relevant services thereof."

Nowhere before the decision was it mentioned the respondent thought of the trademark.

Maybe if you own a 3 letter dot com you should put the name of the acronym and give it a researched inert name. One that there are no trademarks for. Like "White Electric Shoes" as a title for the index page.
Then just sell shoes or something.
Just an Idea.
