Enom seems to be steamrolling through renewals on any domains that have been checked autorenew but are doing so ONE MONTH PRIOR to them expiring. They just streamrolled through one on my account. Luckily this is one that I was going to renew anyways. But I do not at all appreciate this kind of behavior on their part. So for those of you who have enom might want to make sure you set all of the names you don't want to not autorenew or else end up with a wasted registration.

There is a little checkbox under settings where you can disable auto-renewing 30 days in advance. I'm not sure if this does it for any future registrations or all of them.

Checking the global auto-renew will only affect future registrations I believe - for past registrations you will need to check each individual domain.

Registrars are getting very smart in scripting where autorenewals are concerned in the past year or two. Hosting companies are also very tenacious in holding onto names for their clients. Keeps them locked in.

I believe the auto renewal has been set at 30 days prior to expiration
for as long as I can remember.

I just had a whole bunch renew on .us But, I would rather overpay
on renewal of .us then to lose them. Or, have to fight to get them
back.

I don't trust myself to remember to renew them by using a spreadsheet.

I like auto-renew. If you don't want to renew it, make sure it is unchecked :)

I like it too. It is nice to have a fail safe in place.
