Bi American...as opposed to Buy American. Seems fitting in this day and age. Would appreciate your thoughts and appraisals.

Thanks,
DC20

The name might fit for a site with ties to the gay community, but it doesn't work for purchasing or "buying" anything. The similar sound is confusing (if you tell someone to visit the site, how do you think they're going to spell it?), and although the words sound the same, they mean completely different things.

In terms of traffic and relevance, a quick Google search reveals that there's a book titled "Bi America," and an exact search with quotes brings up an entire page of links to a p*rn DVD with a similar title. But is that really what you're going for?

Even trying to use the original meaning of "bi," I don't think "American" would be another word that people would search for. I think "America" would make a lot more sense.

But because it consists of actual words, it might have some value, but not as a mercantile/shopping site. I'm still learning appraisal prices so I'll leave it to the experts to chime in, but I'd guess low to mid $xx.

Ewe, didn't know about the DVD. I liked the play on words, but I ran in to the same logic fault that you did. ...I figured it would be fitting for the gay community.......until it hit me..."gay", not "bi". Before that light bulb over the head, I already acquired it. lol

Thanks for your thoughts, I didn't do the search you did as I figured who would search for that, and that it was better for branding. ......I wonder if they need a domain to go with a sequel? ;)

Thanks,

No problem. I'm going through bad case "registration-itis" myself, and as a precaution, I'm paying close attention to keywords and possible meanings, search volume, etc. I've definitely had a few that I've registered, and then regretted 5 minutes later. Time to weed out the ones I don't want to keep. You never know, maybe somebody will have a use for your name. LOL @ the sequel.
