.biz is already a successful extension

it just will not be on the top

it follows the rule

first to appear first to rule
it appeared before many other cctld

also 90% of registrar allows .biz and it became very familiar

i think if .cc started before .biz it would have been one of the top but unfortunately it appeared late

i don't have any bias as i don't have any domains .biz nor .cc

wish best of luck for all cctld

:-D

.biz is a good second option for companies who can't get a suitable .com or an additional address to compliment the .com

I agree.

Nestle, for example, uses its .com for its front end and .biz for its extranet address for its dealers. .BIZ seems to be particularly suited for B2B specific applications.

Agree, gota. .BIZ was never meant to "replace" .COM, but to provide a sharper business definition to sites who may benefit from that posture.

And as web said, it also gives many small SMEs (the largest sector of the economy) a second chance to get the names that were already taken, hoarded, ransomed for large sums of money etc, on the .COM namespace. .NET and .ORG just didn't do the trick for many.

Actually, that was what Neulevel originally postured the .BIZ namespace to be, a 'second chance'.

biz is actually everywhere. It's slowly becoming a "word" here in the states. It's often used in business "advertising".

Any business that has a solid business plan with a .biz will do well. Oh, that goes for .com as too
