The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. There were no six-figure or higher sales reported this week, but there were three dozen solid five-figure sales. While we wait to see if the recent auction for Pizza.com (ending at $2.6 million) successfully closes, the door was left open for a lot of mid-range domains to take the spotlight. The best of those was a .net that, in addition to leading the weekly chart, ranks as the 7th biggest Global Contenders sale so far in 2008.
There is a fair amount of variety on the all extension leader board with the 20 .coms supplemented by five .nets, a .org and four country code domains. The leading ccTLD hails from Holland and was followed closely by .tv (Tuvalu) and .lu (Luxembourg) domains. However, Germany's popular .de had the most country code chart entries overall with nine.You can get all of the details here:
