I registered a domain name with Bluehost when i signed up for hosting service with them. I now am changing hosts and am trying to transfer the registrar to godaddy. When godaddy sent the emial it went to whois@bluehost . I thought that was a little odd so i checked the whois and it comes up as all bluehost info.
I am able to lock and unlock the domain name but thats it. Any info changed in the contact area clearly states it will not be reflected on the registrant record/whois. So i emailed Bluehost support and asked them to forward the godaddy email or put my email on the contact area.
this was there responce:
To change the email address on the domain name you need to go to domain manager in the control
panel and click the pencil icon next to the domain name and then you can edit the contact info
there for the domain.
Thats all good but it does not change the whois record....and states that in there cp for domain manager.
I feel like they are playing around....this is there system.... they clearly no I want to change registrars as I stated that in the support ticket.
I have followed up and have yet to get a reply....
What recourse do I have to get them moving on this. I am in no hurry as i still have about 10 months paid at Bluehost.... But i want the damain name in my control not bluehosts.
Any ideas for options would be appreciated.
Thanks
