actually all .org's have little commercial value, they are all vanity buys

throw up a few pics of boobs and list it with a few search engines

then sell it as an alexa rated site to some boob for as much as you can get

what are the legal/financial implications, if you regged a name with a registra who has not infomred you that these technical changes are taking place?

Yes I contacted my name registrant and because of the .org move the name came up for available to register.

IF you owned it BEFORE the ".ORG Transition", I believe you will once again be noted in the Whois as the owner after the 'changes in the system! Please correct me if I am wrong.
However, if you did NOT own it in the first place, you shouldn't have posted it here for APPRAISAL!?!

Owning the name and getting a credit card invoice are two different things.

You don't own it until the Whois says you do.
