I think going to the bookstore where there's an integrated coffeeshop is great. I like getting a good book or magazine and just sitting at the table with some Irish Creme and relaxing. Anyone else like to take a spell doing this? I think these atmospheres are just great.

I like the atmosphere too, though I've never gone to a bookstore to read and snack/drink coffee/relax, probably because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to buy the book and then read it, or read it and then buy it, or... :)

Most of my reading gets done in bed before going to sleep. And I spend so much time on the danged computer that not a whole lot of reading gets done anymore... sigh....

One of our bookstores here in Seattle is a wonderful old place, and they have a great little cafe in the basement.

Buy the book first, hehe. It's perfectly fine to sit down with your purchase and read--that's what they want you to do, plus it's fun. The little cafe in the basement sounds neat, I'd visit it.

Come on, guys, I'm trying to get a lighter mood around here! Does anyone else enjoy a good book, period? Just curious. This is the lounge, and i'm just "lounging" at the lighter side of the room by the fireside. One of the best novels I have read recently has to be the Magician series by Raymond Feist. I'll toss that in the air, maybe someone will reply, lol.
