I got this at tdnam. It appealed to me because when I need a new computer I just buy the parts and build it myself. I think possible uses for the domain are pretty clear.
I obviously like it but what do you guys think?

Don't be so sure.

Custom made computers are only popular among gamers and hardcore users who know what they want. While there is a distinct difference between "2 Terrabyte Hard Drive" and "It stores a lot" to a techie, the layperson will only be able to comprehend the latter, and is all they need to hear from the salesperson at Best Buy before they make the purchase.

As it is, those who could truly make use of a custom-built computer are savvy enough to either do it themselves or know who to go to to get it done.

As an inquisitive techie myself, I would rather get somebody to show me how to do it, rather than just paying someone to do it.

As such, I would only value it at mid $xxx at best. It's bound to drive some traffic, but don't expect to get rich off this name.

Reg fee imho. I can see "build a computer", or "do it yourself computer", but "build computer" doesn't do anything for me. And with computer hardware so cheap now, it's not easy to make a reasonable profit on building custom systems anymore, unless it's a high end gaming system or server (I do them for a living incidentally).

first of all, thanks for the input. I agree with most of what your saying but I also see a still healthy business of online computer and computerparts stores. You don't have to take the term too literally. Someone looking to build a pc would go to a pc hardware site and this domain could work for such a site. Or indeed for a custom pc building site. Looking at the adwords results and possible cpc for the term and related keywords I'm a bit more positive. I would be of course, since I paid more then regfee :).
