Buying from Register Internet LP?

I'm in the process of negotiating a purchase from the folks at Register Internet LP (aka Register.com). I contacted them and got an initial price, but have received subsequent emails with lower prices. What experience do folks have buying domains from this group? I'm curious about how low they will go... ?
