Hi all

I'm a total newbie when it comes to domains and have neither sold nor bought one away from a registrar before.

Last night I stumbled across a domain I liked and this, as is often the way no-doubt, caused a domain buying bender along a line of the original theme!

Needless to say, many will be sold, so I've come here to both learn and likely sell a few domains!

Thanks and hopefully some of you want some of my domains! :D

Welcome!

Lesson 1: You should have registered here first, read the forums and blogs for a while, see what prices names are selling for and in which niches and then register/buy some names.

Welcome to DNF. You should've picked a better username.

@silentg Thanks. The username is fortunately a lot worse than my domains! :) (I actually have little idea why I picked it, perhaps I can ask a mod to change it for me?!)

@Jilo Thanks for the welcome, I know I should've reg'd here first now! :D

To be fair though, they're not stupid long names full of hyphens, unrelated words and pointless nonsense, so even in the cold light of day, they're in no way as bad as the dramatic title implies! In fact, I've no doubt a fair number are highly saleable.

Welcome! Your story sounds the same as mine when I got into domaining 6 years ago. If I could go back and do one thing differently it'd be to focus on quality over quantity. It's a lot better to own one premium domain than 100 hundred mediocre ones.
