Google hates paid links - they've created a special page for it - http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66736

If you're going to do the paid links service, then you shouldn't disclose the domain name on your website (only to the actual buyer) you should disclose the pagerank, and category of site and probably the expirary date/length it will be there, as well as, the extension and if its a sub-domain, if it will be linked sitewide etc and what pr is the actual page it will be placed on.

Otherwise someone (most likely a competitor) will submit a paid link report to Google destroying the pagerank of the sites

what's the PR of google.com?

biggest paid link site there is

LOL

youtube
cnn
yahoo
bing

all sites with paid links

now if you market yourself as a 'pr' pop

then google will get upset

but sites selling ads are 100% legit to google

they just don't want you promoting their product as your sales tool

google page rank for sale
page rank for sale

so you can do it in a way that google doesn't blow up

high value home page links

etc

but you put it out you selling only PR...

yep that's sandbox violation time

so be real careful how you market high PR links

or they get nailed as ad llinks and not WM links

now can a site selling ads still have great PR?

last time I checked

youtube
cnn
yahoo
bing
facxebook
etc

all were selling links and had 9's and 10's in PR

now a site dedicated to popping pr

yeah it's gonna be nailed pretty quick and the sites you using need to be not disclosed as somone suggested

but clever wording could get the point across

you market links to pop pr

you just need to say you trade in high value home page links

and don't reveal them

the key here is reading between the lines this

However, some SEOs and webmasters engage in the practice of buying and selling links that pass PageRank, disregarding the quality of the links, the sources, and the long-term impact it will have on their sites.

Buying or selling links that pass PageRank is in violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelines and can negatively impact a site's ranking in search results.

Not all paid links violate our guidelines.

Buying and selling links is a normal part of the economy of the web when done for advertising purposes, and not for manipulation of search results. Links purchased for advertising should be designated as such. This can be done in several ways, such as:
