It depends on what the name is. Most people/companies who believe they have a legitimate/winnable case will simply file the dispute. They probably have a few people within the company to send these out. Just use your head.....there is absolutely nothing wrong with registering ANY name in the world. Read a few hundred WIPO decisions this month and you will be better able to filter-out these potential threats. If the reason you registered the name was because of their company, then make sure you don't go overboard with your infringing. If you had good-faith then use it for whatever you want.

Ask yourself two questions:

1) Does this domain have generic value worth fighting to keep or was it registered solely for typos of there claim in the mail?

2) Do you make enough money on the domain worthy of keeping it?
