a customer wanted to get his .ca domain
it is a company with trademark on the name of the domain.
But NO Trademark in Canada.

I registred the domain last month through enom.
And last week my customer get an email directly from Enom :( asking him to prove that he has a trademark in canada, or they will delete the domain.

my question and i hope somebody can give an advice:

How can i keep the domain, i mean they wrote him, to change the data if trademark doent exist.
what should i choose
Legal type of registrant contact *

Is that possible for a company to get their domain under .ca without having an adress in canada.
note, the same company has the same domain under 20 other tld
from .com .... .se ... .jp
The Location of the company is Austria.

Hope to get an answer soon. Thanx

Peace

To register a .ca domain you should be one of the following:
- Canadian citizen
- Permanent resident
- Corporation - A corporation under the laws of Canada or any province or territory of Canada
- Trade-mark registered in Canada

Otherwise, you have to find someone who meet this requirments, and register the name under his/her name.

Thanx for the answers.

@ marketscript
Thanx. that is my problem, the customer is not a canadian citizen, and i was hopping, there are a solution like the .us domains.

@ nameslave
Thanx.
I wil send this document to the company and they must decide.
I didnt find anything that it can really help.

@Steen.
I can not use this, because the customer ( company) wants to have their adress as owner, that is why they want to protect all tlds.
I will ask them if they would register the domain under the name of any Partner in Canada.

Did any body from europe allready register a .ca domain?
how did you do that? I mean, did you get such an email from enom or circa.ca?
do they check all the domains, or i had luck :(
