How is it that a domain like evz.com is now at $7K on enom club drop, and a domain like ipc.net is now at $590, also at enom ? (both didnt end yet)

Such names will be sold much less (in my opion) if they were sold anywhere else. I also assume the buyers in the drop services are the same buyers in all the other places (forums, sedo, etc) ... so why are they paying a lot more for drops ?

bottom line: How come that at drop auctions domains get significantly higher prices then anywhere else ? Is it the thrill in buying a dropped name ? Is it that the buyers think that because it dropped then it's a bargain ?

This has been discussed many times.

It's because eveyone & their poodle knows that the name is dropping & if they want the name then they can bid for it & they know where & when to do it. I also believe the "thrill of the chase" also plays a part in it too as people get a thrill outta beating others to it.

Have to agree with BLazeD. Auction fever, that adrenalin rush from the competition, the fight, the battle, is addictive.

And--excepting shills!--at least two contenders have to be in the game!

Well I think I should open a drop catching service, let my names "drop", then "catch" them, and then auction them to drop catchers.
Thats genius ! :-D
