Can someone help me get my friend's domain back?

The domain and site aren't really worth much.
The value lies in the email address.
My friend is not getting his email.
His webdesigner let it expire and it was snagged by someone.
How can I get it back for him?

Ask to directNIC. The domain name has not dropped, just expired. Make the payment for the renewal and it will be alive again. Anyway, after that, it could be possible that you see contact info of the webdesigner instead of your friend´s data.
