Alright, I am working on developing a college basketball recruitment website to rival Scout.com and Rivals.com. I'm planning to branch off to each state, hence indiana.domain.com and texas.domain.com. But, to begin, this is what I'm looking at:
PREPSX.com is a pioneer in the new form of high school sports recruitment. Gone are the days of not knowing a team when they step on the floor for the first game of the year; follow your team, college or high school, with a state-by-state updated catalog of written and video coverage. No matter where you are, you can stay connected with your team and it's future.
That's all I've really got up until now. What does anyone think? Does it sound feasible? Criticsm?
ABOUT:
PREPSX.com is a pioneer in the new form of high school sports recruitment. Gone are the days of not knowing a team when they step on the floor for the first game of the year; follow your team, college or high school, with a state-by-state updated catalog of written and video coverage. No matter where you are, you can stay connected with your team and it's future.
WHAT WE DO:
PREPSX.com is a blog-based website centered on bringing you closer to your team. With state specific websites as well as a national blog and a junior college blog, each with their own dedicated, paid writers, the information is guaranteed to be accurate, astute, and fresh off the press. No more recycling of old information. PX goes to the source, coaches, players, managers, athletic directors, or even parents, to get the latest recruiting information. Included with the site is video coverage of the latest high-school games, interviews with local coaches, and up-to-date statistics like no one else can.MONETIZATION:
By providing a service at such a low cost (monthly fee of $3.99/person), PX ensures that the masses are allowed to view the site. Some information is free, but other stories are PX-INSIDER limited, meaning all you get is a short description, enticing you to join. Once a subscription is bought, a user can access every site on the network. The site is free to everyone for the first 4 months, and free trials are given away regularly. Regular advertising is sold alongside the subscriptions.STAFF:
As to keep each state-specific blog up to date, PX will employ a writer for each website. The writer must publish stories 3 times a week and keep up to date with other regular duties, such as videos and interviews. Based entirely on revenue, the writers' are encouraged to make their own site prosper. Each writer receives 75% of the monthly subscriptions that originate from their site and 50% of the ad revenue from their site. That's all I've really got up until now. What does anyone think? Does it sound feasible? Criticsm?
