I agree, but to me it would be the ultimate sellout for an artist to sell their name to a political party / cause. Then again, if the honeymoon (i.e. band) is over then perhaps this is just some decent spending money for the bandmates to split. Along with the usual recording industry hawks that surround them, of course.

Will be interesting.

Might become a cool bidding war between rich Tea Partiers and rich folks who oppose them.
