Cannot transfer out from Dotster.

Anyone has the same experience in recent days?

It worked ok for past days, but for the recent several weeks, I cannot.

No confirmation from doster, but also no lock shown in the whois.

I tried several names to ENOM, but failed.

Why???

I was able to transfer some domains from dotsters, no issue. Make sure you have the correct administrative email address.

Your post made me think of a question, so I apologize if it's a little off topic...

If you are the high bidder at namewinner and don't transfer it prior to it being renewed, what would the renewal fee be? Would it be what you previously bid on NW?

I have received no responses from any email.

All contact information is correct.

Dotster is simply refusing transfers and ignoring email.

It might be about eNom.com.

It might be about MyDomain.com.

It might be time to fight.

Since I last posted in this thread, my Dotster transfer emails have started coming through again and my domains are being released. I had a big batch denied without getting any emails last week, but this week they are working again. Maybe it was just a glitch.

I am having a terrible time getting names out of there.
The only thing that worked is was a letter threatening
to make a formal complaint to ICANN.

I have to write one for EACH transfer after denial or I get no
response.

I'm not sure what the rules are about their rights to deny
(without a reason) a transfer out.

By the time you get an answer the expiration date is past
leaving you stuck renewing there.

Sounds like a pretty good way to keep customers for Dotster.

Sounds like BAD business to me...

The registrar have no rights to deny transfer request from the owner.
