The selling of carbon credits / carbon offsets is growing quite fast. The industry needs more salesmen and saleswomen!
Although it's major in other countries, those countries are now pushing to impose carbon limits on e.g. U.S. airlines landing in those countries by adding a fee to airline tickets. These countries are also imposing their carbon limits on American companies based there or doing business there, too.
Hence, for those who know how to 'sell carbon' (or are willing to learn), it can be quite lucrative here in the States and all over the world.
Many companies are self-imposing limits on themselves in order to be proactive for when it becomes mandated here; or to be politically correct; or to be more environmentally-friendly; and use it as a powerful marketing tactic. There are consulting firms and sales teams here in the U.S. making $Millions right now SELLING CARBON! Even farmers are using their land and hiring brokers to make money from the carbon industry like a CASH CROP!
