What do you think about .cc, .de and other ccTLDs for basic keywords in English? Are they worth buying?

.cc for good keywords is now for low to middle $xxxx. cash.cc $6.5k, and us.cc $6k.

Never (!) reg a .de with an english term in front of it unless you are sure this term is used in everyday german language.

Afterall, people in Germany speak german.

Suprises me how often i see .de domains for sale that have english keywords.

There's a reason most of these do not sell.

Yes.... I see many English .DE domains, though I didn't know if they have any value in English speaking markets.

I own a top english keyword .de domain and have received little interest thus far. The .com version would be worth xxx, xxx. I am encouraged by the recent sales of onlinecasino.de for $101,000 and blackjack.de for $300,000 though as my keyword has high overture and german ovt results also. It certainly helped those domains that poker has become very popular around the world in recent years. My domain is a credit related domain and that is a concept just being introduced in Germany by banks etc. Time will tell....so make sure the keyword you choose is actually something familiar to the German population. Also, it will be difficult to find even good english language .de domains as most top keyword domains (especially one words or two) are already registered. My suggestion would be that if you happen to find one.....reg it.

how much is the fee for reg a .de? what you would have to pay if you keep it for 2~3 years?

a negitive example here. creditcard.info sold for millions, but credit.info is still struggling on the way...

I think on average the .de domains are about $20 dollars a year and you can reg for as long as you like. Make sure you choose a registrar who supports an administrative contact in Germany and will let you transfer the name if you ever want to move or sell it.
