Has anyone ever received an offer through this service?

If so, any tips or suggestions?

I have and I sold a domain through this service. Although I think I sold it too cheap....? LOL.

As I recall it's a little tricky to counter with this service, like you can counter but you risk losing the offer with no comments and only a monetary value unless thats changed?

It means the potential buyer is pretty serious as the amount has been authorized from their credit card... but unlike Sedo you can't counter-offer back and forth.
The process is more straightforward but less flexible.

Well , they started off with the lowest of offers $100. So i countered the maximum.

My question is...what is the point of offering so low if you are paying $19 each time?

I had someone offer me $200 for an LLL.com with that service. What a joke.

I have to think the people using this service are not experienced in the industry and do not know value. This is why they try to use a service like this...the $200 offer to you may be an insult...but they are probably unaware of prices.

I have experience on both sides of the coin....

As far as receiving offers, Know that there is only one round of counter offers...which is really frustrating....for example (on an offer I received):

I received the lowest offer acceptable on the service at $500 (at the time). I countered with $15k (The value I put on this name ...meaning the amount I was willing to sell it for was between 6-10k). The counter offer I received was for $3k and I was not allowed to negotiate any further. I turned down the offer and hoped the buyer would re-start the process...which they never did. It was very frustrating at the time, but 8 months later I sold the name for 10k...to someone else as it was an e-mail offer and I asked them if they had submitted the netsol offer....I have had similar stories where I never hear from the person again.

I guess what you can take from my experience is to carefully consider your initial counter offer because you will not get another chance.

I have to think the people using this service are not experienced in the industry and do not know value. This is why they try to use a service like this...the $200 offer to you may be an insult...but they are probably unaware of prices.

I actually find that the users of this service are either very experienced and enjoy the anonymity of the process or it is an enduser not knowing the domain market really well and looked for the name at the registrar they know about (NetSol) and saw the name was not available and used their service....

I had a lowball offer of somewhere below $100.I simply rejected it.
why some people pay $19 just to send some lowballs, beats me.

Interesting Onward... a little late for me. But i am never willing to negotiate with someone who offers the bare minimum.

So are you saying that the counter offer he makes next he does not pay for?

Is it $19 for ... 1 offer .. 1 counter offer by me... and another counter offer by him?

Correct. That has been my experience.

Okay interesting...so in all circumstances then...he should make a counter offer.

Unless he is completely in way over his head.

Thanks for sharing that Onward.

Right. The people not knowing the market well may be overwhelmed by the 25k counter, but if they want the name they will counter....if they have a decent budget...that may be the best counter you could have done....although if they were only willing to spend 2-3k or less...they may just delete the transaction and eat the $19.

The offers I have sent through this service have never been lower than 1k initially and are usually in the 2-5k range...I want the the domain owner to know I am serious...I have many 1st offers accepted. I actually find this service good as a buyer when I want a name I value over 25k. as 25k is the max they can counter at...I have obtained very good names this way where the person simply responds at the max and then I scoop it up and then have an xxx,xxx name (as I value it).

Exactly, i think my counter is irrelevant to be honest...when their initial offer is $100.

I am not accepting $100 , so it writes off the first offer. They either want the name or they don't ...not much you can do there.

But the fact that you are unable to counter again...makes it very hard to reject the second offer...if indeed it is reasonable.

Right. That is how I believe the process greatly favors the buyer.

One thing though....if you ever want to be on the end of making the offer...make sure the e-mail address is correct on the whois...otherwise the offer will never be received....and otherwise actually may just go into someone's junk folder and they may never see it....netsol does not do a very good job with this service as it is all automated on their end.

Also, every extension of this domain is available. The .com is only taken.

$19 well spent. I'll keep it thanks. :)

Its too bad for both parties in some cases that 25k is the max as I am either going to just ignore or reject the offer because I can't counter with the amount I want.
