Changing all renewal dates to same day

I'm sure I read that you can change your domain renewal dates to the same day of the year. Do you peeps do that? Are there pro's and con's, potential savings?

I have domains with namecheap and godaddy if that makes any difference.

You can change when to renew domains, but the actual date of expiration wont change.
Depending on how many domains you have, you can get a quote from another registrar to move all your domains there (which means renewal/transfer). You can get discounts on the renewal fees If you do it this way.
