Our "country's" Google page wasn't the com. Just a few weeks ago zouzas had shown us the Google.us page. It didn't re-direct to the the .com... Also the .US page had "English" in the Google logo.

It would make sense for google.us to go to a US-specific Google site, just like the Google address in many country codes does.

I realize that, but it was a strange move on Google's part have Google.us up one week, then redirected to the .com the next.

My thinking is Google.us exists out there, however they are now redirecting all US traffic to the .com. But who knows...

Why does this have to be a .biz Vs .US post... I've got a clue for you. It isn't. So get over it. Since google effects us all, I thought it was an important development. Like I said, I don't think Google.US is gone, just not available to us at the moment.

Flaming? Hardly. You'll know I'm flaming you when you hear a .bizzzzz sound!

btw: To answer your .biz=porn site question. I do have an answer. Most porn operators use gTLD's for their wares. I'm sure if you did a google search for sex related sites using the .net TLD, you'd see about the same frequency.

Please... You may know a thing or two about SE optimization on Google, but I'm sure you're not privvy to anything top secret that we couldn't find out on our own.

This wasn't a flame...honestly. I posted your comments about Dot US not redirecting to the .com because I thought it was a friendly jab... nothing personal.

Hey, I've got a deal for you Bid. If you are up for it. Let's not mention .us/.biz when we speak. I think that leads to hostilities that shouldn't be there. I do miss being able to converse normally with you, without all the .bs

deal??

Well Bid, at least you can't say I didn't offer you the chance to drop this whole thing. Not sure why it got started, but certainly it hasn't been very productive. You could agree on that at least couldn't you?

Personally, I would like to talk about the merits of each individual domain. There are dot biz names that absolutely stink to high heaven. There are some dot US names that are equally crappy. HOWEVER, there are lot of good ones out there. My concern has been all along that we do try to keep things into perspective.

btw As of today, I have two US sites up, and Two Biz sites up. I think that should speak for itself.

Geez... can't people discuss the issues in a rational way without it degenerating into namecalling?
