Seems China is becoming extremely popular. Do we hold our China Geos? I was talking to a friend and he thinks they are going to skyrocket.

I'd love to hear some opinions.

Thanks,
patty

Depends on the quality of your GEO domains.

Popular China city name .coms always sell for decent price.

Eventually, YES!
But it doesn't mean to take over the world. I would say have influence over the world.

I know we are seeing more of China but when do you think they'll really take their stake?

Is China going to take over?

You mean they haven't already, they have most of America's $'s :)

Just come back from two weeks in China, my sixth visit, a real eye opener. The infrastructure has to be seen to be believed particularly Shanghai/Beijing areas and many miles outside.

I would think that Chinese cities, travel related .com & .cn particularly in their own language (IDN) would have huge potential.

Except a few big names like Shanghai or Beijing (which EVERYBODY knows), I don't think a mismatched ccTLD (Chinese place-names, Indian ccTLD) is worth investing even your time.

As for China taking over, I agree that it is already happening. Just look around youself, at least 5 out of 10 things you see are made in China. And in this time of global recession, buyers (with deep pockets) could only be coming from China. My only regret is that I actually write more fluently in English and my Chinese typing is terrible.

When you've got between 5 - 20 million people crammed into a single city ... you've got very large captive audiences to develop for... the hard part isnt buying a domain ... the hard people is developing high quality local content.

The Number of China's Internet Users Now Outnumbers the Entire U.S. Population ...

China's Internet users have surpassed the U.S. population in number, and more Chinese than ever are using e-commerce and accessing the Web through mobile phones, according to official statistics.
China had 338 million Internet users at the end of last month, the most in any country, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) said ...

Despite the huge numbers, only one in four Chinese is already an Internet user, the report said...
