Greetings! Aren't all domain appraisals scams?!

I don' think so,if all appraisals are scams, that is a big big problem and it will be no longer possible to all domain traders to do that, maybe all the appraisals will be strictly restrited or banned by the authorities. I still believe the making appraisals is a reasonable request in some transaction but the sellers must verify the buyer's background and know better with his inttentions. Sometimes the appraisal costs is better to be shared by both parties and the appraisal agent should be a reliable third party. In the scam that I was in, finally I found out the appraisal agency share the same big boss(domain registant)with the buyer, that's weird and doesn't make a sense. If he wants to make the appraisal by his side why I should pay for it and how it should be trusted? I can't say I am too greed but I am just too eager to finish the deal cuz I need that money so bad.

Thanks a lot and I wish I could have the money back. I am in China and he's in US or UK, I am not sure what am I supposed to do? About 80 USD's appraisal fee is affordable but lossing it is still like missing a big chunk of my butt, haha. I had evidences that the buyer wants to buy the domain and ask me to do the appraisal, and I had profs that I'd suspected whether it's a scam too in our contact mails too, But even so, I still agree and pay for that. The appraisal is real and I agree, and just the buyer don't buy my domain right now and changed his mind right away or forever. So even we know this is a scam but we can just say the buyer is not honest, it's not possible to report to crime, and the name and position he used is fake somehow, so , I told myself be cautious every time don't do stupid things.
