The name is worth zero. I am not sure that anyone on this forum has ever heard a human being utter the phrase Classy Outfits, or even read the words in print. So it has to be worth zero. When you think of classy, you don't think of outfits, and when you think of outfits, you don't think of classy. They don't go together, even if you can imagine an outfit being classy.

Be careful of names that seem to make sense, or seem to go together. Someone may dress with class, and you may think that someone has on a classy outfit, but I am fairy certain that you will go your whole life without hearing someone utter the plural, Classy Outfits. The only way it has value is if you turn it into a business, and at that point it ceases to be a domain name.....it is a business.

And I have seen worse names developed, so you could have done worse. At least you can spell it and pronounce it.

He asked what people thought the name was worth. I told him zero and gave him my reasons. It is a lot better than hearing someone else tell him it makes a lot of sense and that, if developed, it would be worth XXX. It isn't a good name and in my opinion it is worthless. That doesn't make the OP a bad guy. He can disagree with me if he wants. I have had many worthless names, and many names worth less than zero, as well, since I spent time and effort thinking about my worthless names.

I didn't attack the guy, I just gave my reasoning. When the name is good I also give the reasoning. In each case, the person asking for the appraisal is probably old enough not to take it like a personal insult, but I would rather have them be mad at me for a bad appraisal than to continue registering bad names. There is nothing in it for me other than giving my honest opinion about the name. My opinion is pure and unbiased, which is a lot better than some of the pumpers in horseshit extentions that you often stick up for. I call it like I see it, even when I see potential fraud. They could throw me out of here tomorrow for life and I would just move on and pick up something else....just like I did in 2006 when I was banned for exposing a scammer (who is still here). It turned out I was correct about his scam, but of course they told me I couldn't prove it at the time.

So, I went out and started a gaming affiliate and made a lot of money with it.....it keeps shooting money off to me, as well. I don't need domain names, or the aggravation that comes with seeing scammers (not you, Acro) get free passes every time a new extention comes out.

Right now, I am giving appraisals.

Just because you've never heard of it doesn't make you an expert in the "classy outfits" market. Assuming you are located in the US, how can you discount other continents and countries for the usage of the terms? It's perfectly common in the UK, it's common in Europe and other Old Continent countries if you must. Sure, it's less common than "classy clothes" or "sexy outfits" but it's not as exotic as "Klingon garments" either. Overall, I find absolutist comments in appraisals to be self-fulfilling and wasteful of one's energy.

Thank you both for sharing your opinions on my name. I realized that it wasn't worth "a lot" since I hand registered it the other day, but I just wanted to test out the waters. All of my domains go into development though, so it is fulfilling for me to see the name get $0 here and know that my development truly is adding value (which $0 is a fair appraisal since it hadn't be registered in the 20 years of the existence of the internet). Thanks to both of you.

Good luck it it. It is the type of name you could turn into a business. The name is a bit catchy, and is easy to spell. Just because a name isn't worth much as a stand alone name, doesn't mean you can't so something with it. Like you said.....there is a reason it was never registered in 20 years, but that doesn't mean it can't be a piece of a successful site.
