I was wondering if anyone has some experience with ClickBank and ClickBank Analytics. It looks real interesting that there's some money to be made by just building the pith and the thank you pages. Got to be catch somewhere? Any help with there programs would be appreciated.

The catch is that the products are invariably crappy products that will make the purchasers hate you forever.
CB doesn't do quality control.
But hey, so long as they don't refund it, what's with a little anonymous loathing?

If you're wanting to use some affiliate marketing to monetize your domains, there ARE better ways to go about it. Real services and products generally.

You're welcome to PM me if you want to chew it over a little.

Just like any affiliate program, you have to sell, and as well you have to manually add advertisements. I have one product which I advertise in my signature, which has sold.

There are 3 big problems with using Clickbank which is why I recently removed all my old Clickbank links from my websites:

1. The publishers page usually has many obstacles (by design) for you *not* being able to easily get credit for sales such as powerful way to get visitors to first join mailing lists, free trials, buy related products (which do not contain your tracking code) or go to sub-pages before the order form is seen, so they rarely buy right away and your order tracking code is not used.

2. More often then you would believe the affiliate is dropped by CB or else their clickbank page stops working and you may not realize that for a while unless you often look at it. Often when that happens the url still works via redirection to the publishers main page but the tracking code of course is not relevant so they get ongoing traffic but you get no revenue.

3. Extremely low CTR plus lots of returns on dubious value ebooks.

Clickbank can perform well you just have to test out many products in the marketplace because a lot of them are crappy. Also make sure there are no sales leaks on the sales page.

I'm seeing sales on Clickbank, depends on your audience and how well you look over the products before presenting them. You'll dig through a lot of crap before finding some gems, but that's the way most affiliate networks are anyway. Your best best is to do lead generation on your site and only offer the very best from Clickbank that you feel comfortable representing.

Best,

Justin
