what do you think about .com.co ??? with premium words??
what do you think about .com.co ??? with premium words??
The reason i ask is because i own a strong hispanic magazine here in kansas city and i just picked up ForRent.com.co and Properties.com.co and i think it is worth the risk and can use here in the U.S , i know and everybody knows you can never get these domains in a com or net but i have a gut feeling it can work out as a marketing tool in a city if you market right! But I agree with you Doc, its all a risk! but for 19.00 usd i give it a try and see what happens.kill the idea.
the .co was the URL supposed to replace the .com.co.
All these newer URLs were supposed to simplify things.
I would say that the only ones appearing in any search are actually in use in Columbia.
My concern would be that the extension would end up being solely related to and used in Columbia. If that is a market you want to penetrate, then consider the .co for the Columbia market.
Katherine Gringo??? do you mean not to register english domains????.com.co is more established in Colombia, for local companies, because direct registration under .co was not allowed until recently.
Over time .co might take over, but the registry seems to be pursuing a dual policy:
.com.co = local
.co = international
In short, only use .com.co if you are a local entity and want to look 'established'.
And forget the 'gringo' registrations in that namespace imo
Yes, that's itKatherine Gringo??? do you mean not to register english domains????
ForRent.com.co and Properties.com.co what do you think???Yes, that's it
This is debatable even in .co, but in .com.co it should definitely be avoided. It's the local extension. Unless we are talking about very common generic English keywords like job news etc.
