Any members going to Comdex? I wasn't planning on going this year for the first time in 5 years. After acquiring Tablets.com I decided the last minute to go. I'll be there Wednesday-Friday. Maybe we could have a little DNForum.com get together.

A little update from Vegas:

1) The show is quiet and definately not as good as past years.

2) I have to buy the new Ipaq pocket pc: great screen, removable battery, built-in 802.11b and bluetooth, biometric (fingerprint) security, consumer strength IR etc.

3) The slots are good - up $700 so far

I almost went but my brother over at Xerox said the show wasn't looking to hot this year. Would have liked to have met you Greg. Next time somewhere else I guess.

I keep checking the thread here to see if you found any other interesting stuff out there regarding the domain game?

You might ask Verisign about shutting down GreatDomains (Jan 15th) and what they plan to do with this new secondary market "Name Store" plan of theirs. Fees to be charged etc?

Verisign's booth was digital certs only. No-one from the registry or registrar dared show their face

Got to ride a Segway which was fun.

Apart from that, I'm glad to be back home.

I'm happy to report that I left Las Vegas with $140+ of casino money after being down as much as $300. All I had to do was think of my lucky statue.

And I'm very happy to report that everyone at Comdex referred to Tablet PCs as Tablets.
