Forgive me, I don't mean to 'rain on
your parade' but this is a pixel site;
the kind that every Tom, Dick and
Harry in the world is now doing
because they (incorrectly) believe
that they too will benefit from Alex
Tew's original idea...

What they fail to see, however, is
that Alex EARNED free media publicity
because he had a great idea (albeit,
a 'do it once, and never again' idea).

I don't think ANY media will want to
give you publicity on this one, so the
question must be 'how do you intend
to recruit advertisers, when the very
momentum you need to lure them (i.e
media exposure, hence traffic) will be
lacking?

Commerce.co.uk is a good name, but
I think that by continuing on this path
you may damage it a great deal...

Good luck! And nice name!

Though agreeing with Richard, with a nice domain name you're bound to recieve a lot of traffic.

Good relevant traffic is the key here
certainly, but I suspect the promoter
(along with everyone else who thinks
this is a free ticket to a million) is
expecting to receive free publicity,
hence his 'press release' (referred to
above).

Alex Tew was able to make a million
dollars because he is intelligent,
creative and he had an original
unique idea that he was willing to
follow through on.

The 'quality' of his idea may well
be an issue for debate, but he made
the money - end of story. People
who now pull him down are simply
jealous, and those who copy his idea
(and hope to make it appear that
they are somehow improving his
original idea in the public interest!)
clearly don't have any ideas of
their own.

You guys might be missing a point, Barry already has the traffic , so this is just his new format for advertisers, the difference being his pixel advertising has legs, it won't just fizzle.

I agree with that comment, but a Commerical Directory site was always a racing possibility. Why denegrate it by chosing a site format that most of the his serious potential clients will shy away from. Can you really ever see FTSE 100 companies on a rentapixel format!
