I have tried to transfer my domain name to my Email Service Provider. They are requesting:

"Could you please send me the entire content of each zones? It should include all records.

Once done, I’ll give you the names of our server to put them into the registrar configuration."

I have never been asked for the "entire content of each zone" and "all records" from anyone. Normally I just have to either set the nameservers or arrange for a domain name to be transferred to another company.

I have asked the ESP and they are being unhelpful.

Could somebody kindly assist me in terms of what is being requested please?

Thanks.

Why don't you ask them what the hell are they talking about? Sounds like THEY don't know what they're talking about!

Also, an email service provider may not be the best place to move your domain to .. use a trustworthy registrar instead. (BTW ... Are they an ICANN accredited registrar? ... Check here: http://www.icann.org/en/registrars/accredited-list.html)

Why do you need/want to transfer your domain to email provider?

Are you seeking to run a website and email on the domain hosted by two different providers? -If so, the questions being asked by the ESP, kind of, make more sense.

Typically, most people have hosting and email with the same provider ... in which case, all you need to do is ask the hosting company for its name server names (ie. ns1.example.net; ns2.example.net) and update the name servers accordingly for the domain at your registrar. No cost, no zone editing, and no need to transfer the domain anywhere.
