I never received a email from a big law firm before inquiring about any domain names.

seems odd to me.

maybe someone is trying to intimidate you or see if they can get you to quote different prices

but probably should have asked the law firm who they were representing

also, how or do you know, if the email and the phone call are from the same entities

keep all emails relating to that domain and be ready if they agree to the 100K or a counter-offer, or silence

Tell them the economy sucks and Obama is the worst president ever. I mean, you talk about this all the time so why not bring it up now as well.

I bought the name for a business venture I was interested in.

What is your interest now? Don't be greedy, that's how you lose.

If you invested, say $5k and they are offering, say $25k on a domain you are not actively interested in developing today, I'd say you are in an enviable position. Consider strongly taking the money and reinvesting it into a project that interests you now.

It's not odd at all.

Microsoft used a Los Angeles lawyer as an intermediary to buy BOB.COM many years ago. The sales price was $10,000.

It might be a big corporation..
True. One of my earliest sales via Great Domains some 10 years ago came from Deacons, one of the largest law firms in Hong Kong. I later knew that they were acting on behalf of the Airport Authority there. They bought a matching 3-letter .net/.org combo for US$6,000 when expired 3 letters .org's could still be snapped manually if you got up early enough.

Greg asked for domain advice and you greet him with this crap? How about helping him out and putting your hatred for his political beliefs aside? or cant you separate the two?

Can you post the email and X out the domain name and other private information?

If you need any advice, please feel free to send me a PM.

I posted what happened in DNF/Legal "email contact"

I also offered to pay $20.00 by pay pal to have a DNF mod edit out domain names and the law firm name. I never even got a reply from the DNF mod :(

The $20.00 by pay pal still is a go if a mod would like to make a edit in legal forms, PM me and maybe we can make a deal.

Do you remember Raider, I sent you a copy of a post, via PM, about how some one posted in a public forum, "I need / should have my head bashed in with a Baseball Bat" or something like that?

I was taken back by that post. I think I quit posting for a few months.

The offending post was deleted a few hours later.

---------- Post added at 08:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:37 AM ----------

The final offer was 50k for the package / portfolio. I declined.
