Contacting potential end users / TM

As for the several LLL.eu's I got, following the advice in the appraisal topic I would like to contact some companies whose name has the right initials and who may want to buy the domain. However, is there any way to check if the name is not TM-protected? The last thing I'd want is to lose the domain for free because a company I contact for an offer would claim the domain ...

Note: the domain was not claimed by anyone during the .eu sunrise period, and the .com and .net variants are parked.
